Our Climate Positive initiative involves the following:
Climate change is a global issue that is beginning to affect us all. Despite the increased governmental and public focus over recent years thanks to groups and activists running effective awareness campaigns, meaningful action still seems quite far away from being a reality.
One of the places where this is most obvious is in the business sector. While more companies than ever before are making all the right noises in regards to climate change, the action taken up to this point has been underwhelming.
At AWG, we are fully aware that as a business we are probably seen as being part of the problem by the climate-conscious community. This assumption is a natural one to make, because the disappointing truth is the business field as a collective haven’t been pulling their weight.
AWG aims to change this.
We feel privileged to be in a position where we can emerge as a business leader in the battle against destructive climate change. Our resources and public presence ensures we can make a real impact that others can replicate.
This is why we’d like to introduce you to our revolutionary Climate+ Positive initiative.
What is Climate+
Climate+ (Plus) is a term we have created to define a specific course of action that we believe should be the default path forward for all of us in the business world.
We’re serious about creating viable strategies that will facilitate a substantial response to climate change from organisations that can make a real difference.
Being Climate+ doesn’t just mean we say the right things, it’s a promise we do the right things.
In fact, being Climate+ means we go the extra mile in the fight to save our planet. It’s not enough to just support climate positive action, we must always do even more.
We Go Beyond
A term that has been branded about a lot lately is ‘Net Zero’. Net Zero refers to the consensus the international community has agreed upon to remove as much greenhouse gas from the atmosphere that is being pumped into it. This is the goal of many governments around the world.
AWG of course fully supports the Net Zero campaign. However, we still don’t believe this is enough.
Our Climate+ ideology emboldens us to do even more. We don’t intend to stop at Net Zero, we want to tilt the scales in the complete opposite direction.
That’s why we’re committed to going ‘Beyond Net Zero’. Yes, we appreciate the sentiment behind the Net Zero wave, but we can always strive for better; Humankind and Planet Earth form a symbiont circle.
We want to contribute to a global business movement to restore balance in the climate. We are working to become true climate leaders by maximising our contribution to limiting global temperature increase to 1.5°C.
AWG have already pledged to have all of our offices and physical sites powered by 100% solar energy by the year 2030. This, along with our cycle to work scheme, becoming a totally paperless company, our meat-free strategy for our employees, and our industry-leading remote work strategy – all leads to AWG being the ultimate climate+ pioneer in the corporate space.

AWG’s Climate+ agenda isn’t a closed club, we’ve taken the doors off the hinges and are welcoming anyone who wants to join us on this journey.
