As a responsible company, AWG takes a keen interest in global movements inside and outside the business realm.

We have identified climate change as one of the biggest issues facing the world today, and the fight against it requires both cooperation and a strong example of leadership.

AWG is now taking an active role in promoting climate-positive ideas and solutions that can be applied both at work and home.

One of those solutions is the prioritisation of renewable energy sources, and AWG is taking the lead in putting words into action.

Throughout our group network, we have implemented a top-down memo that lays out our intent to become a more green-centric organisation, and the steps our partners can take to contribute towards this goal.

AWG strives to be a paperless company. In this age of technology, we don’t see the benefit of keeping printed documents or storing piles of printed data in physical locations. This would create an unnecessary carbon footprint and expend energy which could be put to better use elsewhere. We even refuse to use cash as a means of payment, and opt for contactless in every scenario. Our company operates on a 100% digital policy.

AWG is a huge proponent of remote working, or working from home. While our primary reason for supporting this policy revolves around the well-being of our employees, it’s also a beneficial policy in the fight against climate change. No longer do we require our workforce to expend energy travelling to an office. This reduces carbon emissions from driving and getting public transport.

Finally, AWG has required all physical offices to install means of renewable energy production on site. In urban environments, which is usually where offices are located, we support the wide usage of solar panelling. Our target for 2030 is for all of our offices, and the offices of all our partners, to be 100% powered by solar energy.

AWG firmly believe that these actions will provide a strong example of our determination to be a part of the solution, not part of the problem when it concerns climate change.

We call on other companies to adopt these climate positive ideas, and together we can build a greener and more prosperous future.
